London nude statue honoring feminist pioneer taped up, masked

A new nude female statue in London meant to honor 18th-century feminist Mary Wollstonecraft has been targeted by unknown vandals who taped its breasts and pubic area, put a mask and T-shirt on it. The sculpture by British artist Maggi Hambling was criticized by many, including feminists, who said the statute drew attention to the female body instead of honoring Wollstonecraft’s achievements.
