Hurricane Eta takes aim at Florida’s West Coast

A strengthened Eta transformed into a hurricane off the southwest coast of Florida on Wednesday morning, before weakening back to a tropical storm as it takes aim at the state’s West Coast. An Air Force reconnaissance aircraft shows Eta has now weakened back to a tropical storm, the National Hurricane Center in Miami reported. Eta currently packs a minimum sustained wind speed of 70 mph.
