Unlimited free storage being brought to an end by Google Photos

Google Photos announced that five years after providing users with unlimited free photo backups at ’high quality,’ it will now start charging them for storage once more than 15 gigs on the account have been used. The changes will come into effect from June 1, 2021, and will come with other Google Drive policy changes, like counting Google Workspace documents and spreadsheets against the same cap.

They did the same with gmail. This is one of the reasons that I am not switching to Google docs
