California second US state to cross one million COVID-19 cases

California became the second American state, after Texas, to report more than one million cases of the novel coronavirus. Data collected by the Johns Hopkins University revealed that the state reached the grim milestone on Thursday. The state has also reported 18,144 deaths, and the Los Angeles County is also the U.S. county with the highest number of confirmed cases, at 330,450.

We do 1.5 million tests a day in the usa, 9% or so are positive. Vast majority are the overly sensitive(false positives) rapid tests. Unless people show symptoms most don't, they are told to isolate. Thry do not that many pcr tests so no way they tested the hubdrrd of thousands of rapid tests cases. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/previous-testing-in-us.html https://www.advisory.com/daily-briefing/2020/06/01/asymptomatic-patients According to NPR's "Shots," preliminary results from the study suggested it was likely that about 3% of the state's population, or about 188,000 people, had been infected with the new coronavirus, which "represented about 11 times more people than conventional selective testing had identified in the state to that point," Menachemi said. Further, Menachemi and his team found that 45% of those who were infected with the new coronavirus reported not having any symptoms of Covid-19.

Lockdowns basically don't do crap, Sweden didn't have any and they look like everyone else pretty much maybe less. This virus does what it wants. Check out most countries vs usa here. Most look the same on the graph. Use log function. https://ourworldindata.org/mortality-risk-covid

Hmmmm... The State with the most lockdowns and illegal government overreach in "protecting" the people from COVID has one of the highest amount of cases... What does that tell us about the lockdowns?

Top in U.S.
