USPS whistleblower tells agents Project Veritas lawyers penned his affidavit

Richard Hopkins, the postal worker whose allegation of ballot-tampering add to the growing Republican efforts to challenge the outcome of the election, told investigators that Project Veritas lawyers wrote the affidavit laying out his claims. Hopkins previously claimed that he heard supervisors talking about illegally ’backdating’ mail-in ballots to Nov. 3 so they would be counted.

No he didn't. Nor did he recant. He is still testifying, and none of this misinformation will affect his testimony.

Here's the Newsvoice Link for all the sources where said worker denies the claim he ever recanted. https://newsvoice.com/i/7748057

So you're telling me it's not true because a lawyer wrote it? That actually sounds like a good idea, I'd rather have the person that has legal experience doing all of the writing, then I'll sign it. As a layman to write your own affidavit it might open you up to legal repercussions that could have been avoided with the proper wording. It doesn't make the statement less true. If someone claims they want an impartial investigation but then they play these sort of games with the evidence, it leads me to believe they don't want an impartial investigation.

I'm not familiar with the US legal system, but it sounds reasonable that a lawyer is your scribe if you are going to make a statement that is reviewed in court, and even more so if you might suffer legal consequences if the content is inaccurate.

Pennsylvania elections officials are not denying that they postdated ballots any more. Instead they're claiming "it was only 10,000 votes so it wouldn't change the outcome!"..... That's like a string of robberies occurs and the cops catch the thief and he says "I only robbed one store!"

* Man makes sworn statements under penalty of perjury. * Fed goons show up, report to media outlets he recanted. * Man has to publicly announce he didn’t recant. Nothing to see here folks, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

PV "OK... Let me write this down... Go ahead and tell me what happened!".... Media " PV penned confession!!!"..... Democrats "See! It's all a lie!! He recanted!!"

Oh my God bla bla bla take it to court already. Prove your case or shut up. I've heard the tin hats screaming about the Clinton's for years yet after hours of (both) of them having the courage to actually go before Congress a prove their case (unlike some draft dodging cowards I won't mention by name). So either the Clinton's are innocent or the Republican lawyers are colossal under achievers. Personally I think a little of both.

Isn’t what the media and “government officials” are doing called gaslighting? Pretty sure it is.

Im oretty sure the individual needs a lawyer to draft an affidavit for the individual to sign. If he doesnt have the money to pay for a lawyer but project veritas does and drafts it, thats not out of the ordinary...

Yeah, Project Veritas, who has an entire wall of shame for articles about them that have been retracted, did this. The alpacha cometh. Besides, a lawyer drafting an affidavit seems sensible. The language required would probably go over the head of an average person.

This is such a load of bull. Of course a lawyer wrote his sworn statement. They know the laws and how to word it so the Libs and media can't twist his words.

This is extremely foul play. Why are they so desperate to cover this up if they have nothing to lose?

This smells very fishy and I am not sure what type of fish it is. I trust Veritas more than the mainstream news media so I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now.
