Trump administration won’t shutdown TikTok after court ruling, report says

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the US Commerce Department has said it won’t enforce an order that would have forced TikTok to shut down. The government cited an injunction from a federal judge in Pennsylvania which suggested that the government had likely overstepped its authority. The government had cited national security concerns as the app is owned by a Chinese company, ByteDance.

Funny. The department DECIDED to not prosecute. But that couldn’t happen anyway since the court already told them it was illegal. They didn’t get a choice.
