Miami Marlins hire Kim Ng as new General Manager

Kim Ng was named by the Miami Marlins as the team’s next general manager. This makes Kim, a former longtime baseball executive the highest-ranking woman in baseball operations in the major leagues. She is also believed to be the first ever female GM for a men’s team in a major professional sport in North America. She is also the first Asian American general manager in the league.
