Worried about long-term impacts from the pandemic, says Powell
Federal Chairman Jerome Powell said Thursday he worries about women, children and business owners who face long-term consequences from the COVID-19 pandemic. On his biggest concerns as the world tries to recover from the crisis, Powell said it’s ’the risk that there is some longer-run damage to the productive capacity of the economy and to people’s lives who have been disrupted by the pandemic.’
As bad as the economic damage, !Think of the Children! The children not being in school, lost senior years, lost education and socialization. We no longer have a society with Moms at home with children doing chores, fathers that can have children working with them, or even neighborhoods full of children running. This damage is our real future.

Oh, really? You don't say. It shouldn't take a genius to predict long term economic problems when you deliberately sabotage your own economy but, apparently, most of us really are that stupid. The entire debacle has more to do with universal healthcare than it does with covid. People who are pushing for mask mandates are trying to set the precedent that you are responsible your your neighbor's health. You aren't. Forcing everyone to wear improper protective equipment, for political reasons, instead of getting proper protective equipment to the vulnerable is extremely callous in both the near term(medical) and the long term(economic).

Feels like there is a desire by the elites to switch the economy to be under even more centralized control. This would be a mistake, and catastrophic.
