Uber is in talks to sell its self-driving vehicle unit to startup competitor Aurora Innovation, according to reports by TechCrunch. In 2019, Toyota, Softbank and Denso had invested $1 billion in the unit which was valued at $7.25 billion.
They are selling it because none of their passengers want it. I've been an Uber driver for three years and of course we hate the idea because it's a job killer. The passengers hate the idea because they hear when the navigation can't even pronounce street names correctly.
Factors I see as to why A.I. Chips aren't good according to people, each point can be questioned.
-Job killer, replacing humans for A.I.
-A.I. are programmed for a purpose, there may be odds it can't do one thing.
-Based on my second point, it can drive over humans over its programming.
-Some feel uncomfortable knowing an AI just replaced someone else's job.
-Drivers can't pay taxes, and it may damage economy.
Be a good time to get them running around before the streets start co heating up again after this pandemic times.
May be time to sell Uber stock
It will be called the 'Johnny Cab'.
Put a robot amongst humans and see the whole big picture. And why we are what we are
