Armenia cedes disputed land to Azerbaijan after peace deal

Armenia has begun handing over disputed territory to Azerbaijan as part of a peace accord that ended six weeks of fighting over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. In the days leading up to Sunday, residents of the Kalbajar district, controlled by Armenians for decades, began a mass exodus. A key part of the peace deal included Armenia’s return of Kalbajar and Aghdam by Nov. 20, and the Lachin by Dec. 1.

I am so happy! Soldiers and civilians killing each other does absolutely nothing to solve the world's problems. Violence begets violence so hopefully this will be the beginning of the end of this territory dispute.

I commend Armenia's graciousness in doing this.
