Northern India sees toxic smog day after festival

A day after revelers defied bans on using firecrackers to celebrate the festival of Diwali, people in many cities across north India woke up to toxic air. New Delhi was blanketed with a thick haze, with the average pollution level over 9 times what is considered safe by the WHO. Delhi’s Chief Minister had banned the use and sale of firecrackers ahead of Diwali.

Hmmm, after reading this you might almost suspect that humans can in some way influence atmospheric conditions. Couldn't possibly be related to climate change though. Nope, nothing to see here.
