Ugur Sahin, one of the creators of a prospective COVID vaccine warned that ’this winter’ would be hard, and hence the vaccine might not have a big impact on the infection numbers. He said it is necessary to complete immunizations before next fall. Pfizer and BioNTech said their vaccine was more than 90% effective in preventing Covid-19 infections among those without evidence of prior infection.
