Residents of a northern Ontario community has been shocked by the killing of a rare white moose, prompting an offer of a reward to anyone who can help officials apprehend the suspected poachers. Poachers recently killed two female moose, including one white cow, leaving their remains, including the heads, discarded along a remote service road. Local indigenous peoples consider the animals sacred.
I really can not understand why some people feel the urge to destroy precious things
There's actually a serious problem with poachers taking rare and endangered animals and selling them to Asian markets where they fetch a high price. It would be nice if the Asian governments would crack down harder on this trade and push for changes in the culture to dampen it.
