Hungary and Poland veto seven year budget leading EU to face crisis

Hungary and Poland vetoing the historic €1.8tn budget and coronavirus recovery plan by the European Union has resulted in the bloc facing a crisis. The package has been rejected by the countries over attempts made to try and link funding to respect for rule of law. This has resulted in a delay in the launch of the 2021-27 budget as well as recovery package.
