Two arrested in $1.5m Harvard admissions bribery scandal
Harvard’s former fencing coach and a Maryland telecom executive has been arrested Monday in an elaborate $1.5M bribery scheme that allegedly secured the businessman’s sons entry into the school and spots on the fencing team. Jie ’Jack’ Zhao bought coach Peter Brand’s Needham house at an inflated price, renovated his new condo, paid his bills, among other favors.
