US successfully shoots down ICBM in defense system test
The US Department of Defense’s Missile Defense Agency said the US Navy has shot down an intercontinental ballistic missile from a warship for the first time during a successful demonstration. The target ICBM was launched from the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean at around 12:50am and was shot down in space by a missile launched from a US warship at sea.
