US military reduction in Iraq and Afghanistan announced by acting Pentagon chief

Christopher Miller, the Acting Pentagon chief announced on Tuesday that by the 15th of January, the US would reduce its military presence in Afghanistan to 2,500 troops and 2,500 troops in Iraq. Currently, the US has approximately 4,500 troops in Afghanistan, and more than 3,000 in Iraq. Miller took over as the Pentagon’s acting Secretary of Defense role after Mark Esper was ousted.

I'm all for not policing the world but ugh doesn't this seem like a bad idea? I mean afghanistan is still in shambles and as far as I know it's free game so I see ISIS coming back again.... Not sure what everyone else sees....
