Japan records over 2,000 Covid-19 cases in a day for first time since outbreak

Japan reported more than 2,000 new coronavirus cases Wednesday for the first time since the start of the pandemic. It also registered 12 deaths during the last 24 hours. Capital Tokyo also confirmed a daily record of 493 cases, beating the previous high of 472 cases recorded on August 1. Experts said this could be an indication that the third wave of the pandemic has started in the country.

Imagine being worried about 2000 new cases in a day, as opposed to 2000 deaths a day amd 100k+ cases a day for weeks on end
