Grandson of Nazi reaches out to victims to apologize

A man, after discovering that his grandfather forcefully took over a Jewish family’s store during the Holocaust, tracked down their descendants to apologize. Thomas Edelmann, 49, used a genealogy website to track down the former owner, Benjamin Heidelberger’s granddaughter, Hanna Ehrenreich, an 83-year-old retired teacher. The two exchanged letters and then spoke by phone weeks later.
