DOJ approves drug trafficking charges dismissal against former Mexican general

A federal judge in Brooklyn approved the dismissal of narcotic and drug-trafficking charges against former defense minister of Mexico General Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda accused of taking kickbacks from a cartel to assist the shipment of huge quantity of drugs into the US. The DOJ dismissed the case so that Cienfuegos could be handed over to Mexico and potentially face charges there.
