Naya Rivera’s drowning witnesses the filing of wrongful death lawsuit by husband

Naya Rivera had drowned in Lake Piru, California on July 8 after jumping into the water with her five-year-old son. The autopsy report claimed that the absence of a life-vest led to the mishap. On Thursday, 4 months after the incident her husband, Ryan Dorsey filed in a ’wrongful death lawsuit’ claiming that the boat was not fully equipped as per the security standards.

Doesn't sound like she was that strong of a swimmer after all. Anybody who has ever been boating knows that even a slight wind can blow you away from the boat if it's not anchored. Even anchored if will drift in a large circle. There are not huge currents in the lake. If she wasn't aware of how separation can happen during winds then she shouldn't have declined wearing a life vest. CA law says there has to be one life preserver for every person on board, especially a rental boat. Usually they are under the seats. Let's be real, she underestimated her swimming abilities and did not use common sense especially while alone. There is no case here.

Sad Story, hope the kid will be ok. But if he grows up in LA, he is done...
