China ups hostility against Australia, Canberra reacts
An anonymous Chinese official released a document to Australian media listing a dozen complaints against the country. Among other things, it accused Canberra of blocking Huawei 5G, spreading ’disinformation’ on China’s Covid-19 efforts, ’incessant wanton interference’ in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Xinjiang, etc. Australia called the accusations ’false’ and said its China concerns were genuine.
There is more to this story than meets the eye. Australia is in a precarious situation with China as China has been throwing money around to convince the small islands to break with Taiwan and move their allegiance to China. If you add up everything it looks like China is making a play for Australia and New Zealand. I love how supportive CNN is on China's choices. They reckon evil Australia should have known better than to join defence treatise, support hong kong alongside uk and Canada, speak out about China corona handling etc. Good old CNN is so glad that Good old China is making a example of Australia... is that a pro biden or pro China stance (or are they the same thing?), time will tell But in summary it sounds like CNN was operated by China all along
