Storm Iota kills at least 30 in Central America, thousands lose homes

Storm Iota unleashed havoc across Colombia, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and southern Mexico on Wednesday bringing devastating floods in areas already waterlogged, which forced out hundreds of thousands of people from their homes. At least 30 people have been killed so far, but the toll is expected to rise. Floods, mudslides and inclement weather are hampering rescue efforts in isolated areas.
