GM betting $27 billion on electric vehicles, plans to launch 30 of them by 2025

General Motors has announced that it will invest $27 billion to develop future electric vehicles, the company’s CEO Mary Barra said at an event. She also announced the automobile behemoth’s ambitious plan to launch as many as 30 new electric vehicles globally by 2025. GM in recent years have shown keen interest in EVs and considering the global trend, experts believe its bets on EV are sound.
