To stem some business difficulties, BuzzFeed and Huffington Post have decided to join hands. The two companies announced a plan under which BuzzFeed will buy HuffPost from its owner, Verizon Media, as part of a larger stock deal. Under the plan, BuzzFeed founder Jonah Peretti, who helped found HuffPost 15 years ago, will serve as the CEO. However, the two sites will continue to operate separately.
