Healthy sleep habits lowers risk of heart failure

The American Heart Association has published research in their journal, showing that a healthy sleeping pattern leads to a 42% lower risk of heart failure, compared to an unhealthy one. They described ’healthy’ as ’rising in the morning, sleeping 7-8 hours a day with no frequent insomnia, snoring or excessive daytime sleepiness’. Over 26 million people are affected by heart failure.
