NBA players meet with Pope Francis to discuss social justice efforts

The National Basketball Players Association announced that a bunch of players met with Pope Francis at the Vatican, as they discussed their efforts to address social and economic injustice. The Vatican had reached out to the players’ union to learn about their work for social change. NBPA executive director Michele Roberts said their time with the pope ’validates the power of our players’ voices.’
