The impact of vitamin D on COVID-19

According to scientists, Vitamin D lowers the risk of contracting COVID-19, which has in turn resulted in the increase in intake of Vitamin D rich foods. Lack of Vitamin D in the body results in higher risks of hypertension as well as cardiovascular diseases, eventually meaning a longer stay in the hospital if infected. The need for oxygen in the body is reduced if the body has adequate Vitamin D.
