Controversial Alaska mine fails to get key permit over environment concerns

The US Army Corps of Engineers denied a permit for the Pebble Mine project in Alaska. This means the long-disputed project is now effectively killed. The project hoped to extract one of the world’s largest deposits of copper and gold ore, but also threatened salmon breeding grounds in the pristine Bristol Bay region. It was blocked during the Obama administration, but was revived under Trump.

It has been reported that Biden had a large stake in the pebble mine succeeding. He will likely change this if he ever actually takes office.

Divisive??

If this were true, I can only think of one reason: Because this project is screwed under Biden. Trump probably saved them money and trouble by doing this because he knows it.

Thank God! I didn't know he had it in him to do something right!
