The UAE has stopped issuing new visas to citizens of 13 mostly Muslim-majority countries. These include Iran, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This is attributed to security concerns. However, no details to the same have been provided. This is applicable to new employment and visit visas for nationals of those countries. Some of the other countries include Algeria, Kenya, Iraq and Turkey.
