Hungry America: Long lines form before food banks across US before Thanksgiving
Long lines have started forming before food banks before Thanksgiving across the United States, reflecting how hungry the nation is following the unprecedented hardships brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, which shut down businesses and pushed unemployment to record heights. According to reports, many of the people waiting for the handouts never needed help before this year.
The irony is from what I've been reading is that the biggest food lines are in red states!!!
"Free". It's less about starvation and more about the free stuff. Unfortunately, Americans are becoming conditioned to demand entitlements rather than provide for themselves and others.
Maybe its time to undo some of these lockdowns? Heck we have had states that didn't really do lockdowns like arkansas which are doing alright.
Democrats are the ones to blame for a submissive public. Shame that people even listened to the states to close down their establishments.

And yet democrats want another lockdown so the lines can be longer

Experts say the problem is rooted in high unemployment and low cash flow.” And still our inept government cannot figure out another stimulus plan for people in need. The CARES act expires next month and things wlll only get worse if this happens. I’m sure these people in need are just thrilled that our stock market reached new heights yesterday, oh joy! Our feeble president takes 90 seconds to hold a ‘press conference’ to pay himself on the back for something he didn’t do that doesnt benefit the truly needy people in this country. He could have said something about the need to help these people, urge congress and the senate to come to an agreement on another stimulus but he didn’t. A more accurate measuring stick as to how our economy is doing is a combination of many stats including unemployment, average hourly rate, average household savings, average household net worth, etc. These numbers show that our country is not doing well whatsoever. A country that for years has not see any real wage growth adjusted for time in the last 40 years (for anyone other than the super rich) is not surprising that they have little to no savings to weather a pandemic that has now stretched to the better part of a year.
