France has sent notices to US tech companies demanding they digitally pay services tax for their operations in the country in December. France announced the new tax regime in 2019 but delayed collection after US President Donald Trump reacted angrily on it. The 3% tax applies to companies with annual revenue of over €25 million ($28 million) in France and €750 million ($832 million) globally.
Tax the bullies🧘🏻♂️
Taxation is Theft. The tech giants can either pay or remove themselves from France. If they are not operating within French borders then there is no basis to tax the tech giants.
Nothing will change with this tax increase.
Sorry, you can only do that with the whole EU.
US retaliation incoming!!
At least someone has the stones to do it.
