’I’m not going to take it,’ says Bolsonaro on coronavirus vaccine

Brazilian President Bolsonaro said he will not take a COVID-19 vaccine. ’I’m not going to take it. It’s my right,’ Bolsonaro said. He added that Congress is unlikely to require Brazilians to get vaccinated. Bolsonaro has repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the pandemic even though he contracted the virus earlier. Brazil has the second-highest number of COVID-19 deaths in the world.

Why would he take it? If you already had corona you should have the antibodies already.

If your over 70, you should probably at least consider taking it, under that, it might be a good idea to wait it out. Most recent numbers ive seen is 99.5% to 99.997% survival for people 50-70. Over 70 its 94.6% :/

Although Brazil has the second highest death toll, it's also the sixth most populated country. I think we should also consider deaths per million, which Brazil is behind some countries with less than half of its population, like Argentina and Spain.

Downplaying means it's value/threat and someone represents it as smaller. Since it's currently unclear how much of an actual threat virus is, it's misleading right now say someone is downplaying it. Otherwise, what's the other end when we can state someone is exaggerating?

The "vaccine" is in two parts. After the first injection the recipient will likely to exhibit symptoms similar to covid for the next day or two. The second injection is more severe and will likely result in a few days off of work. The problem here is that this "vaccine" is NOT an innoculant. It only supresses the symptoms which could save lives but does not decrease the likelihood of contracting the virus. This may give people a false sense of security which could cause people be complacent spreading it further. Note also that the more people that get infected the greater the possibility of virus mutation rendering current vaccines useless. I don't like to be the bummer of the party but...

The people who are pushing this vaccine should be the ones taking that shot on live TV. And if they refuse then that should btell you everything. As they say government first before the people.

God, the media all around the world is getting more dishonesty every day. The vaccine Bolsonaro says he will not take is the chinese made one. The same China from where infected test kits were sent to some countries, and broken test kits were sent to others. I do not trust the chinese vaccine either, not because is a vaccine but because it comes from a country that has a poor record.
