Lab error in COVID-19 testing leads to misdiagnosis of 1,311 people in UK
The UK government division, Test and Trace stated on Saturday that the 1,311 people who were tested positive for COVID-19 between Nov. 19 and Nov. 23 are in actuality, not infected by the virus. Officials justified their misdiagnosis by stating that there was ’an issue with a batch of testing chemicals.’ A spokesperson added there will be a requirement for another test.

Well, better than the other way around I guess and 1,300 people told they tested negative when they are positive. So they go to work and hang out with family, spreading it.

And none of the sources provide the number of tests that lab did in that same period. The numbers of false positives are meaningless.
