At least 110 dead in Nigeria after suspected Boko Haram attack

Suspected members of the Islamic militant group Boko Haram killed at least 110 rice farmers and fishermen in Nigeria as they were harvesting crops in the country’s northern state of Borno, the UN humanitarian coordinator in the country said. The assailants reportedly tied up the workers and slit their throats. Several women may have been kidnapped, local reports said.
