Universal Basic Income models getting tested amid COVID-19
With job insecurity on the rise caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there appears to be new levels of support for the Universal basic income policy across various parts of the world. A study conducted by Oxford University in March found that 71% of Europeans now favor the introduction of a UBI. A trial of UBI in Germany is ongoing, with experimenters aiming to begin distributing money in spring 2021.

UBI as a concept is fine, but as with every socialist concept, it doesn't take into account human nature. Corruption and greed will turn it into another failed policy.
