Toyota has unveiled a new, 2nd-generation version of its Mirai hydrogen car, with up to a 20% drop in price. The new model, which replaces a car first introduced in 2014, has a driving range extended by 30%, due to increased hydrogen fuel capacity, improved efficiency, and better aerodynamics. A dual-tank set up offers the ability to hold 5.6kg of hydrogen, compared with 4.6kg in the old Mirai.
Pretty cool stuff. I’ve seen people who supplement their gas powered cars with hydrogen, and really extended their gas mileage. I’m curious about the future applications.
