Kaavan, the ’loneliest’ elephant of the world has reportedly made a friend after being rescued from years of languishing away in a dilapidated Pakistani zoo. Kaavan could be seen greeting another elephant, as it reached its trunk out to touch theirs at his new home in northern Cambodia. This is the first time that Kaavan made contact with a member of his own species in eight years.

It was inhumane in the first place to socially isolate the elephant for such a long period of time.
