Mark Kelly set to be sworn in as US senator

Democrat Mark Kelly who defeated incumbent GOP Senator Martha McSally in the Arizona Senate race earlier this month is set to be sworn in Wednesday. Kelly and McSally went head-to-head in a special election to determine who will finish the remainder of the late Senator McCain’s six-year term, which ends in 2022. A former astronaut, Kelly flew four space shuttle missions between 2001 and 2011.
