Cyclone Burevi on path to hammer Sri Lanka, tens of thousands evacuated

As Cyclone Burevi barrels towards Sri Lanka, authorities in the island nation have evacuated 75,000 people from homes on the east coast. The tropical cyclone is expected to make landfall late Wednesday bringing heavy rains and winds of up to 90 kilometers per hour (56 mph). The district of Trincomalee is expected to be hit the hardest. Schools in the Northern Province have been shut until Friday.
