Austin mayor urged residents to stay at home while vacationing in Mexico

Mayor Steve Adler of Austin, Texas urged residents to stay home while he was vacationing in Mexico. In a recorded video message on Facebook last month, Adler warned the city could be forced to ’close things down if we’re not careful.’ However, Adler was vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the time of the video’s release. Later, Adler apologized and said he didn’t violate any guidelines.
