Security firm’s scan reveals 8% of all Google Play apps vulnerable to old bug

A scan performed a few weeks earlier by security firm Check Point found that around 8% of all Google Play apps are vulnerable to a security flaw in a popular Android library. The bug is in older versions of the extremely popular Play Core – a Java library provided by Google that developers can embed in their apps to interact with the official Play Store portal.
