US employers add 245,000 jobs in November

US employers scaled back their hiring last month as the COVID-19 pandemic intensified across the country, adding 245,000 jobs, the fewest since April. The unemployment rate moved lower to 6.7%, from 6.9% in October. The US economy is still roughly 10M jobs below its pre-pandemic level.

Well, that is about 1/40 of the jobs we need to regain to be at pre-pandemic levels. Things will not improve anytime soon with cases skyrocketing—please wear a mask and distance! Not just for the sake of controlling a pandemic and to protect yourself and your neighbor but also to help the economy rebound. I’ll never understand the person who argues that businesses need to stay open in order to survive yet does not support mask wearing and distancing, the longer we struggle controlling Covid the longer the economy struggles...there is a direct correlation that is too often disregarded.
