San Francisco Bay Area issues new stay-at-home order due to COVID-19 case rise

Five San Francisco Bay Area counties issued a new stay-at-home order on Friday calling for the closing of businesses and a ban on public gathering. This move came in response to a daily record high of 22,018 confirmed cases with over 9,000 hospitalizations for the first time. Most restrictions come into effect from Sunday, 10 pm and will be applicable up until the 4th of January.
